There is something very special about seeing a young man in a Charro outfit.  Every time I see one, it brings me joy and pride.  You see the charro outfit represent who I am, my roots, my culture, my traditions and it’s fair to say even part of my character.  The charro outfit is traditional of the Mexican culture and very popular in the state of Jalisco, my home state.  To this date the charros (cowboys) wear this outfit in charreadas (rodeos).   Charreadas are very popular in Mexcio. It’s their national sport and  people participate in charreades for the love of the sport and no other reason.  There are many types of charro outfits and each one is chosen for it’s own occasion to be worn.  One can go from the working suit to the more classy and elegant black tie  which is commonly used with the mariachi.

I was so honor to not only be ble to photograph this session in Mexico but also to use my nephew Jorge as my model. And my cousin Jackie joined us at the end. They made this session extra special!

This session was done in Guachinangillo, a landmark on the outskirts of Guachinango.
