Today I am sharing my little sister’s wedding. Kaylee, and Claudio Emerald Valley Wedding was stunning.
We started the day at The Hilton where the wedding party got ready before heading to Saint Mary’s for Kaylee and Claudio’s catholic wedding. Kaylee and Claudio decided to go the traditional way so they opted to not doing a first look. After the religious ceremony we all went to Emerald Valley where the wedding reception took place as well as all the formal portraits. While Michelle and I were photographing the wedding party the cocktail hour was going full force with a live mariachi band! I am so proud of my heritage and grateful that Kaylee and Claudio incorporated some of it into their wedding.
As my sister was planning her wedding the “Is Lydia shooting your wedding?” started pouring in. It was a hard decision to make. I love photographing weddings but this was also my little sister’s wedding and I wanted to be present as a spectator and not a photographer. I wanted to enjoy every moment of her wedding as well as spending time with family members that I had not seeing in a very long time. I invited my friend Michelle to help photograph the wedding. Together we photographed the getting ready, details, ceremony, and formal portraits. Michelle photographed the reception and I was freed to spend time with family. It’s great when you can work with people you trust. Thanks Michelle!

In all honesty the only one that can sing is my mom. Unfortunately I didn’t inherit that form her.
