2013 was a year of growth for me in regards to my business. Finding out what I truly love to do and setting goals. And as you know anytime we set goals we have to step out of our comfort zone and not allow doubt or fear get in the middle of you achieving these goals. We need to believe that dreams can become a reality!
Last year I wrote my goal list. On my list was to organized a styled shoot. I have attended a handful of style shoots and they are always fun. And if you have never organized a styled shoot, let me tell you it’s a lot of work, it’s like planning a real wedding. I was not sure where to start and I was afraid of approaching vendors only to be told the dreading word no one want to here….”no, not interested!” Ok Maybe three words! I had to put my fears and doubts to the side and started contacting vendors and shared my idea for the shoot and asked if they would collaborate on the style shoot.
So where does one start? You start where every bride should start? Contacting a coordinator and a wedding venue. I knew I was going to need help and if I tried doing it myself I would go crazy! Dawn Keeny from Unforgettable Service and Events believed in my crazy idea and took my concept and brought it to life. Next on the list was to find a venue. Domaine Meriwether proved the be the perfect location for our winter rustic theme style wedding. Once I had a coordinator and a venue, and a date, a date is also very important. I told you it’s like planning a real weeding. I starting contacting vendors for the other details. I din’t need a photographer but I still had a long list of vendors to contact. I needed a florist, stationary, cake, makeup artist, hair stylist, jewelry, models, and wardrobe. Sigh!
I was totally blown away by the response I received from local vendors. And while some gave me the dreadful “no, not interested” most of them said yes, and they were excited to collaborate. I am so grateful for all the vendors that helped out. I was very impressed by their professionalism and commitment.
If you are a bride and is looking for vendors to help make your dream wedding become a reality, I highly recommend each one of these vendors for your wedding. Here are the links to their contact. Please go check them out. You will be glad you did.

One of my goals to for this styled shoot was to work with local vendors, share my concept with them and give them the freedom to express themselves. This is what they came up with.
We used Vanessa’s Giland dress for the shoot. Vanessa and Andrew tied the knot last summer.
This beautiful cake was made by Soft Peak Cakery.
Probably the BEST champagne I have ever tried. If you like champagne you need to try Domaine Meriwether’s champagne. You will thank me later.
Oh yes, Domaine Meriwether’s wine is great too!
Anita (make up) and Nancy (hair) gave Vanessa the perfect look for the style shoot!
Bonnie did an awesome job with the bouquet. We did the styled shoot right after Thanksgiving and all the distributers were closed for the holidays. Bonnie went out of her way to make sure we had the right flowers on time for the shoot. Thanks Bonnie!
Dawn from Unforgettable Services and Events came up with the idea to set a picnic table. She wanted to make sure to showcase options for brides to have their receptions indoor or outdoors. One of the beauties about Domaine Meriwether is that they offer the option for indoors and outdoors events.
Thanks to Parties to Go for all the rentals!
These Rustic theme menus and all the other stationary in this shoot came from Little Arrows.
The Jewelry came for H Boutique .
Thank you to all the vendors who made this shoot possible and to Andrew and Vanessa for braving out the cold weather! You two rocked this session!
