A Girl and Her Violin Meet Juilliard

Everytime I think of Grace, I think of her and her violin. That is because ever since I met Grace and her family she has been playing the violin. She comes from a family of musician and a musical prodigy herself. I first watched Grace blossom into the talented violinist that she is 12 years ago when she attended the Suzuki program with my daughter at the University of Oregon.

Grace graduated this summer from high school and her hard work and devotion have paid off. She earned not only her way but a scholarship to one of the most prestigious performing arts schools in the world. This past weekend Grace packed her suitcases and headed to the big apple to follow her long time dream and is now attending Juilliard. Yes, Juilliard! I mean how cool is that??

Grace, I am beyond excited for you!! What an accomplishment! I am so proud of you girl and I can’t wait to see how this new chapter in your life unfolds. xx
