You guys… it’s happening.
I’m heading to Greece for three glorious weeks with my husband and a few of our favorite people—and yes, this is a shining example of vacation planning for entrepreneurs done right. Think: island hopping, jaw-dropping sunsets, crystal-clear water, and enough feta cheese to make Zeus jealous. And yes—my dream includes very limited Wi-Fi, unless absolutely necessary.
As someone who believes deeply in vacation planning for entrepreneurs, this trip didn’t happen by chance. It took intention, strategy, and a few non-negotiables to make space for this kind of reset—because rest is part of the plan when you’re building something meaningful.
But let me tell you—this didn’t happen by accident. Taking vacations, whether it’s a cross-continent adventure or an unplugged weekend at home, is one of my non-negotiables. It’s how I recharge, reconnect with my family, and come back stronger and more focused.
We live in a world that glorifies hustle. But you know what’s even more powerful?
Intentional rest.
And here’s the thing: you don’t have to wait for some magical “one day” to take that dream trip or quiet retreat.
1. Put it on the calendar.
No more “someday.” Treat your vacation like a VIP client meeting. You wouldn’t cancel on them, right? Same rules apply.
2. Create a budget.
You don’t have to go big to go meaningful. Define your budget before you start planning. That way, you enjoy the experience without a post-trip financial hangover.
3. Start a sinking fund.
This is your new best friend. Think: automatic transfers to a “Vacation Fund” each month. Even $25 a week adds up quickly—and lets you cash flow your fun.
Whether your version of the perfect getaway is a luxurious escape or a cozy staycation wrapped in fuzzy socks with zero responsibilities, hear me when I say this:
You’ve earned it. You deserve it. You need it.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to triple check my suitcase—because there’s a small chance I’ll be mistaken for a Grecian goddess… or at least a part-time Instagram influencer with an affinity for linen and olives. A girl can dream, right?
Opa and off I go! 🇬🇷
Tell me—what’s your dream destination? Drop it in the comments so I can hype you up as you plan your next getaway. Let’s make rest part of the mission!
