Today is a very special day.  My favorite girl in the whole entire world is celebrating a birthday.  Not just any birthday, it’s her 13th birthday!  It’s hard to believe that my little girl is a teenager now.  Sometimes I wish I could freeze time or go back in time.  I am not ready for my daughter to be a teenager….but will I ever be? My daughter has a friend spending the night and listening to them talk and plan things for Vanessa’s big day made me realize that my little girl is not so little.  I don’t know when it happened but my little girl is  now a  vibrant young lady.  Full of hopes and dreams.  She is  tenacious and when she sets her mind on something nothing is going to stop her.  She is the caregiver of our home.  Always taking care of us.   She loves to bake and makes better cup cakes than I.  She is always looking to help others and will go out of her way to raise money for a good cause.  The sound of her playing the violin is sweet music to my ears.  She is a leader and average is not good enough.  She excels in school. She has always been a straight “A” student and “A-” is not part of her vocabulary.  Yes, she is growing up but she will always be my little girl! I am so blessed and honored to be her mom!

Happy 13th Birthday, Nessi!  I am so proud of you and the young lady you have become. I love you more than you will ever know.  Thanks for being  YOU!
