Welcome TO THE

I'M LYDIA

Thanks for visiting my website. I am a photographer specializing in weddings, High School Seniors and Personal Branding Photographer. My home base is Denver, Colorado but I am available for travel worldwide. I am a wife, a mom.  I am a lover of life, and love anything that has nuts and chocolate. I have the cutest miniature schnauzer name Sir Chauncey.

I love to travel, nature and concerts.   I love fashion but feel my best in an old pair of jeans and t-shirt.  I love to laugh, dance and sing.  I can't carry a tune but who cares, I will still sing and then laugh at myself.  I love to travel and immerse myself in the local culture and cuisine.  I would love to some day be a contestant on The Amazing Race with my husband. I think we would make an awesome team.  I love to meet new people and I want to met YOU

Edinburgh Couple Photo Session I had a different blog post scheduled for today but changed it last minute because its Valentine’s Day and I want to honor my FOREVER VALENTINE! Curt and I are not big on gifts and I don’t get upset when I don’t get flowers on those special days. He is actually […]

My Word of the Year for 2024: Transformation Over the last ten years I have picked My Word of the Year. I have done it every year except last year. I came up with a number of reasons why I didn’t have a word for 2023. It really boiled down to me entering 2023 mentally […]

Today Friday Favorites post is all about some of my favorite things. Things that I love and want to share with you. One of my favorite things is Leven Rose Rosehip Seed Oil for Face. I am not sure if it’s me getting older or the altitude in Colorado but my skin has gotten extremely […]

It is hard to believe that today I’m celebrating my 29th wedding anniversary! Time sure does fly. Today and every day he’s still the one! He’s the one that I belong to. The one I want to grow old with. The one that holds my hand and always makes me laugh. Curt, I had no […]

Fiestas Patronales in Guachinago Jalisco One of the many things I love about Mexico is their devotion to traditions and the richness of their culture.  The same can be said for Guachinango Jalisco, a small rural town and municipality located in central-western Mexico and my place of birth. One of the many traditions in Guachinango […]

Fiestas Patronales Guachinango Jalisco

If you know me you know I’m not big into New Year Resolutions. They just don’t work for me. Instead of New Years Resolutions, I like to pick a word for the year. I have been doing this for the last eight years. Now picking a word takes a lot of thought process, reflection in […]

When I think of my childhood, I think of my humble beginnings, I think of this place, El Tecolote (The Owl). This is my maternal grandparent’s ranch. The place where I was born. Where I took my first breath, my first steps. Its the place where I spent every summer up to my teenage years. […]

Day four of our trip took us to explore the Colosseum and Foro Palatino Con Mostra in Italy. To be at a place I only read about for years, was surreal. I tried to put myself at that time in history wondering what it would be like to have lived during then, being an actual […]
