The first quarter of the year always seems to fly by, and before we know it, we’re already reflecting on what worked, what didn’t, and how we want to move forward. This first quarter reflection on business growth, lessons learned, and resetting your plan for Q2 is something every entrepreneur needs to pause and do because growth doesn’t just happen in the wins, it happens in the lessons too.
If I’m being honest, my first quarter of 2026 didn’t go the way I expected.
I started the year strong… but busier than I had planned. Somewhere along the way, I overbooked myself without realizing it. I said yes to multiple workshops and a cohort, and before I knew it, everything landed in Q1—all at the same time.
I found myself in the trenches, trying to stay focused, present, and committed while juggling more than I had anticipated.
And maybe you can relate…
Even in the chaos, there were wins.
I stayed committed.
I showed up even on the days it felt like a lot.
I did the work I said I would do.
And financially, it was a productive quarter, which I am incredibly grateful for.
Sometimes we move so quickly into what didn’t go right that we forget to acknowledge what did.
And that matters.
This quarter reminded me of a few powerful truths:
1. Give Yourself Grace
Not everything will go according to plan—and that’s okay. Growth requires flexibility.
2. Not Every Opportunity Deserves a Yes
There were opportunities I had to turn down. Not because they weren’t good, but because they weren’t aligned with my priority at the time.
3. Clarity Prevents Chaos
Without a clear plan, it’s easy to fall into reaction mode instead of leading with intention.
This experience brought me right back to something I strongly believe in business planning is essential for sustainable growth.
When you have a plan:
Without a plan, everything can feel urgent… and that’s where burnout starts to creep in.
The beauty of entrepreneurship?
We get to reset.
A new quarter brings a new opportunity to:
If Q1 felt messy, take it as feedback not failure.
This is exactly why I created the Live & Grow Retreat.
It’s a space designed for women entrepreneurs who are ready to:
Because clarity changes everything.
If your first quarter felt a little chaotic… you’re not alone.
Give yourself grace.
Take what you’ve learned.
And step into Q2 with intention.
I’d love to hear from you, how did your first quarter go?
