Today on the blog is my friend Sharon Musgrove of Sharon Musgrove Untethered. Sharon is a teacher, counselor, writer, and self-proclaimed sociologist. The opportunities opened to her, over the years, have led her on a fascinating journey observing human behavior.
She has a diverse background in business, fitness, and health industries. This background led her to a unique position writing curriculum and teaching for two private, Christ-based, residential recovery programs. Both recovery programs served women primarily from the homeless community.

I think the heart of my story is that I truly want to make God proud of me. I am someone who pours into whatever I take on. And I’ve taken on an interesting array of things over the years. I see the collection of activities…business office, health, nutrition, teaching, counseling, and writing as ingredients in a stew that just keep better with time. I guess that means I am getting better with time too!
My blog is about helping people figure out how to let go of the parts of their lives that keep them from living freely. I think we all dream of living untethered to the expectations of the world. It’s time to make dreams come true.
My voice is probably my biggest asset. There was a time when I was told that what I thought and said did not matter. Once I realized how wrong that was, I knew that I had to find a way to speak.
That person who says, “I don’t know,” when asked that hard question. I want to encourage them to risk looking at themselves.
Second-guessing myself is my biggest challenge. I will write a post, feel great about it, and then lie in bed wondering if I said the wrong thing.
Figuring out how to fix the mechanics of the website after having messed them up in round one.
I have tenacity. I’m going to do that thing if I die trying! But I doubt I’ll die.
If you answer the question, “Will you be sorry if you don’t try?” with a “yes,” you just have to try!
I love cooking for myself special recipes for lunch. You know, the funky, healthy foods that “regular” people wouldn’t dream of eating!
