Sarah and Donald’s Youngberg Hill Wedding in McMinnville, Oregon

I am so grateful to wrap up my wedding season with Sarah and Donald’s Youngberg Hill wedding. The last wedding of the season is always bittersweet. While I look forward to a break, recharging and setting new goals for next year, I do miss working with my couples and having them in front of my camera. Sarah and Donald’s wedding was the perfect way to end my wedding season. They did not only choose one of my favorite venues, Youngberg Hill, to get married but they are two of the most down to earth people I have worked with. Not everything went as planned. Sarah and Donald had planned to have their ceremony outdoors but Oregon weather had other plans. We had crazy weather that day. It went from being sunny to torrential downpour with no notice. We hoped for the rain to stop in time for the ceremony but Oregon was going to have it it’s way. The ceremony had to be moved inside. Brooke and her team did an amazing job rearranging things to move the ceremony indoors where the reception was going to take place as well. Through the whole processes Sarah and Donald kept calm. They did not let the rain or moving the ceremony inside put a damper on their special day.

The wedding was perfect and beautiful. Family and guest got to experience a true Pacific Northwest wedding. It had everything, sunny blue skies, rain, a rainbow and an amazing sunset. And not to mention great family and friends that showered the wedding couple with love and laughter.

Congratulations Sarah and Donald. I could not have been more humbled to be part of your special day at Youngberg Hill.

It started to rain right before the first look. Sarah’s brother, Sam walking her for the first look. It started to rain right before the first look Sarah is studying to be veterinarian. Donald’s grandam made this for her…too cute!
You can barely see it but there’s a rainbow right above the lodge.The constant change of weather.I absolutely love all the rolling hills.We were so lucky that the rain stopped for us to do formal pictures. After dinner we took a short drive to the bottom of the hill and do some sunset pictures. We could not have asked for better light or backdrop.
