A Family Legacy | Celebrating Her 97th Birthday

A Family Legacy.  Celebrating Her 97th Birthday I love the way she looks at me when she talks to me.  She make me feel like I am the most important person in the world and I like to believe I am her favorite  granddaughter. I love the times we can go for walks holding hands and talk about life.  I never get tired of our conversations. I love the way she covers her mouth when she laughs.  She has a contagious laughter. I love that after 15 years of the passing of her lover, she still wearsView full post »

Bald Hill Engagement Session | Sarah and Donald

A Bald Hill Engagement in Corvallis, Oregon Last week I was preparing for an engagement session at Bald Hill in Corvallis and was not sure if it was going to happen.  The weather forecast promised a 70% chance of rain with rain moving in around the same time of our shoot.  I was leaning more towards rescheduling the session as I want my couples to have a positive experience during their photo session.  However, Donald and Sarah wanted to still go through it and I am so glad we did. And I amView full post »

Fun In The Snow | Lydia Gillis Photography Model Session

Every year I look forward to the snow, photographing in the snow, and having fun in the snow.  I love photographing in the snow maybe it’s because it’s something I only get to do once or twice a year.  The beauty about living in Oregon is that we get all four seasons and everything is only a short drive away.  For this shoot we drove up the Willamette Pass to Cresent Creek Cottages.  I called the owners to ask for permission to photograph there as it is a private location.  TheView full post »

Springfield High School Senior | Bryanna

Oh friends, these last few days have been a whirlwind.  Wedding consultations, revamping my website, trying to get all my collateral ready for the Eugene Bridal Show on the 31st, finishing up my marketing material for the LGP 2017 Model search…and WHEW! This girl is going to need a vacation!  However, I am loving every minute of it.   I can’t wait to meet and work with all of my 2016 and 2017 brides and Seniors.  It’s going to be a fun ride. And talking about seniors,View full post »

Fine Art Styled Wedding | Tremaine Ranch

I am so in love with this Fine Art styled wedding at Tremaine Ranch that Karie and Field Denny of Ace and Whim hosted at United 2015 in Scottsdale Arizona.  When the news went out that Karie  and Field where going to be teaching a Fine Art wedding class at Showit United 2015, I knew I had to be part of it.  I have been following Karie and Field for sometime and I absolutely love their work and heart.  Karie and Field have a heart of gold and a passion to educate and give back to the weddingView full post »

North Eugene Senior Session | Maddy

Before I introduce you to today’s North Eugene senior, I have to start first by saying how much I LOVE my senior models.  It has been a blessing getting to know them through their senior year and watching them blossom in front of my camera.   I have photo shoots with my models once a month except for the last two months since we had to cancel due to rain.  We live in the Pacific Northwest so this time of year the weather is very unpredictable.  When I first started photographing theView full post »

My Word for 2016 | Balance

Yesterday was my first official day back to work. However you didn’t see much of me on social media.  That is because I decided to take the day to reflect on 2015.  I spent part of the day writing down my accomplishments and my failures or areas I need to improve in my business as well as my personal life.  There are some areas I am super proud of and other areas that I am even embarrassed to talk about.  This processes was rewarding and painful at the same time.  Sometimes it’sView full post »
