My Word for 2017 – CHANGE | Eugene Photographer

Can you believe that the first week of 2017 is already over?!  And what a week it has been!  In the  19 years that I have lived in Eugene, I have never seen an ice-snow storm this bad.  The weather has forced a lot of us to stay home and I have been taking full advantage of it.  Last week I spent most of my time planning and getting my business systems into place; I’m determined to make 2017 a great year! One of my favorite things about a new year is selecting a new Word of the Year. IView full post »

Wishing You a Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve was just like I wanted.  It was quiet compared to other Christmases but I am grateful to spend time with my small immediate family.  We made and eat breakfast together, help Jeremy pack some of his items, played games, eat more, watched the Cardinals beat the Seahawks….GO CARDINALS…eat more and open gifts.  My heart was full. Today, Christmas Day my family is heading to Sun River to spend the day with some of my extended family.  One more day dedicated to creatingView full post »

Enjoying the Beauty of Christmas

Today is Christmas Eve and I plan to enjoy it to the fullest!  Christmas is my favorite time of year…I always look forward to all the decorating, cooking, shopping, wrapping gifts and all the festivities of the season.   As I sit here writing this post I realized how I have let the worries and busyness of life steal the joy from me.  How can that be? How did I allow being busy rob me from the joy of Christmas?  It’s not too late though and regardless of all the noise around me,View full post »

A Look Into Lackland Air Force Dorms

A Look Into Lackland Air Force Dorms After Jeremy’s Airman Graduation the Airman had the opportunity to give their families and friends a tour of their dorms.  This was Jeremy’s dorm for 7 1/2 weeks.  It was fun to be able to see how he lived and how organized everything was.  It brought back so many memories from when I went to boot camp many years ago.  I realized somethings are still the same.  When Jeremy was young and learning to fold his own clothes and make his ownView full post »

Air Force Airman Graduation | Lackland Air Force Base

Air Force Airman Graduation Day two of our visit to Lackland Air Force Base and Jeremy’s Air Force Airman Graduation Ceremony. We arrived on base two hours early to avoid the crowd and get good seats for the Air Force Airman Graduation. If day one was hot, day two was unbearable.  By the time we arrived on base at 7 am we were already a sweaty mess.  Yes, I said it…sweaty mess!! And the worst part about it, which I am sure Lackaland Air Force Base has some logic to it, all theView full post »

Air Force Coin Ceremony | Lackland Air Force Base A few days ago we hopped on a plane en route to San Antonio, Texas.  Lackland Air Force Base to be exact.  We waited seven and a half weeks…seven and a half long weeks to see my favorite boy. July 14th couldn’t come fast enough. The first day was orientation for family and friends,  Airman’s run and the famous Air Force Coin Ceremony.  We didn’t make it to the orientation or the Airman’s run. Thanks to our friendView full post »

A Family Legacy | Celebrating Her 97th Birthday

A Family Legacy.  Celebrating Her 97th Birthday I love the way she looks at me when she talks to me.  She make me feel like I am the most important person in the world and I like to believe I am her favorite  granddaughter. I love the times we can go for walks holding hands and talk about life.  I never get tired of our conversations. I love the way she covers her mouth when she laughs.  She has a contagious laughter. I love that after 15 years of the passing of her lover, she still wearsView full post »

My Word for 2016 | Balance

Yesterday was my first official day back to work. However you didn’t see much of me on social media.  That is because I decided to take the day to reflect on 2015.  I spent part of the day writing down my accomplishments and my failures or areas I need to improve in my business as well as my personal life.  There are some areas I am super proud of and other areas that I am even embarrassed to talk about.  This processes was rewarding and painful at the same time.  Sometimes it’sView full post »
