A Picture Perfect Day In Eugene

A picture perfect day in Eugene. Yesterday’s snow has turned into freezing rain and sleet here in Eugene. It was a beautiful day to bundle up and go for a walk. Everything was very picturesque, a photographer’s dream! I didn’t have to go very far to find beauty. Most pictures are from my garden but Curt and I did venture out off our cul-de-sac to the school playground.  I opted for my Nikon 105 micro lens. It’s a creamy lens that doesn’t get use as much as it should but when I do use it,View full post »

Erika: Guachinago Mexico | Destination Photographer

Guachinango Jalisco, Mexico Ok it’s been a while since I blogged about my photo sessions I did in Mexico last year. I still have a few sessions that I have not come around to blogging from “A Taste of My Heritage” series. This session is super special to me Not only did I have an awesome model but I love everything that the “Charro” uniform represents.  It’s fair to say that the “Charro” uniform or some people call it the “Mariachi” uniform, is a staple of Mexican heritage.   Anytime  I see oneView full post »

Hannah: A Styled Photo Shoot at Smith Rock, Oregon | Eugene Photographer

So much  beauty to share with you today. I love when I photograph just for fun! A while back I thought it would be fun to do a photo session at the dessert. Oregon has so many beautiful places so why not take advantage of them and try something different?  Back in October, six of us planned a girls day and headed to the dessert for a day of fun! We weren’t sure what to expect but we had plenty to work with. Our van was packed with clothes, make up, jewelery, props, food, and who canView full post »

Styled Photo Shoot of Leslie ~ Smith Rock State Park | Eugene Photographer

Everyone knows her as Caty, to me she will always be Leslie!  I actually like that I am the only one that calls her Leslie.  It’s our special bond.  It’s our sisterly love! Leslie is one of my younger sisters. I have three sisters and she is second to the youngest.  I guess I should also mention that I have four brothers as well. Yes, we are your typical Mexican family.  The more the merrier! Today is a big day for Leslie.  It’s her birthday and in honor of her birthday I wantView full post »

Newspaper is not just for reading! Fun Fashion Shoot! ~ Eugene Portrait Photographer

A while ago I was inspired to do a concept photo shoot.  I had a vision on how I wanted this shoot and all I needed was a model. So my search started for someone who was willing to do something out of the ordinary. When I spoke with Courtney she thought the idea was crazy but was  brave enough to model for me. She was in charge of her make up and hair and I was in charge of the wardrobe.  Our day was scheduled on a sunny day in Eugene. We met at our friend’s private residence where theView full post »
