A while ago I had the opportunity to second shoot a wedding at The Vista at Applewood Golf Course.for Wandering Buffalo Photography.
I am truly enjoying being a wedding photographer in Colorado. I love photographing at new venues and working along side some amazing Colorado wedding photographers.

The Vista at Applewood Golf Course is a beautiful Denver wedding venue located in the stunning foothills of Golden, Colorado. It was the perfect venue for Javier and Laura to say their “I Do’s” in front of family and friends. The wedding ceremony was nestled in a pristine backdrop with manicured landscapes and gorgeous mountains.
One of my favorite parts of Javier and Laura’s wedding was when they where presented with white doves at the end of their ceremony. They were totally not expecting this and I loved seeing the surprised look on their faces. The doves reminded me of my own wedding, as my husband and I also released doves at the end of our ceremony.
You might be wondering, “what do white doves symbolize when released at weddings?”
The release of white doves at a wedding represent:
- Joy
- Blessing
- Peace
- Fidelity (doves are known to mate for life)
